About NTNS

So, what is

“New Thought, New Song” A Podcast?

It’s an idea that came to me practically fully orbed. See, I am not only a singer/songwriter but I am also an Audio Engineer. For the past several months, I have been the producer/editor for one of my best friend’s podcast, “Same Shit Different Show” and as I have spent many hours editing the content, I thought to myself – “Man, this is great. What a cool way to bring ideas to the world. What a cool way to say something.” The months went by, episode after episode, and I continued to think about this.

I asked myself, “What do I have to say?” or “What do I have to talk about?”

Well, the ideas started rushing in. Music is my language. I knew that I wasn’t the only one. I know that there is a power in music. I believe that a song can change a life. So, enter NTNS.

My vision is to interview fellow songwriters about what they think about music and about the process of music, more specifically how they write a song – from concept to “fruition.” Just like people, music has a multiplicity. It comes in so many genres and sub genres. There are so many artists out there and every single one is unique.

My focus for this show is on positive music. So, there will be interviews with positive music artists, new thought ministers and really anyone I can find that I think may have something to say about this and fits the the general theme of the show.

Where does the name “New Thought, New Song.” come from?

The title is two fold. Maybe even three fold.

  • First, every song starts with an idea. Every song is a new thought in the mind of a songwriter. It is an answer to the question, “What do I need to say about this subject?”
  • Second, as I said before, I want to focus on positive music. My thought is that with one song, a person can change the world. Change your thoughts and you change your life. Simple as that. Imagine if you put music to it…
  • Third, I am Spiritual Practitioner with The Centers for Spiritual Living, which is a part of  the New Thought spiritual movement. This is what I choose as my spiritual philosophy. It’s an attempt at being witty. Get it? Dumb joke.

Enjoy! Check back for new episodes. There isn’t going to be a “regular” schedule just yet. So, when I have a new one – You will be the first to know.

Love. Namaste. Blessing
